The speckled bowl is thrown on a wheel and trimmed by hand with a light, oat color stain and a clear glazed interior. It is made with a blend of porcelain and recycled clays. Each piece is handmade so slight variations in color and finishes may occur. Sold individually. Signed on the bottom in metallic oxide. Exclusive Wynne Ware color palette. Made in England.
Luke Eastop is a third generation ceramicist living and working out of his grandfather's studio in England. His work explores the basic qualities of material and form through pared-down geometric pieces made in a range of experimental clay bodies. He started making ceramics in the studio of his late grandfather, British ceramicist Geoffrey Eastop, and has since established his own practice in Margate, Kent.
